Fire Extinguishers

Keep Out of Landfill via Special Program:
Option 1: Fully discharge it (you can do this into a trash bag – the contents aren’t hazardous) and break off the lever. If your city or town is listed below, click on its name to see the local scrap metal instructions for its residents. Statewide options that are open to anyone are also listed below. Fees may apply. RIRRC does not recommend any one business or organization over another

Option 2: Don’t worry about discharging it, and just bring it as-is, to an Eco-Depot Collection Event: Call the Eco-Depot Program for a FREE appointment at 942-1430 x 241 or make an appointment on our website. On this page you can also download our Eco-Depot brochure, listing household hazardous waste (HHW) items you may have to dispose, and make a single trip.
