Transfer Station: In the rear of 1670 Flat River Road (via the access road to the dog pound), Coventry. Hours: Mon.-Fri. 7:30am-12:00pm and 12:30pm-3:00pm.

Dump passes- dump passes may be obtained at our office for $20.00 cash only and proof of residency. The dump pass entitles residents to 4 trips that will not expire until used. Another pass may not be purchased for a year from the original date of purchase. The dump pass can be used to dispose of construction debris as well as any household items. If you missed your trash or recycle driver this week, please remember that regular weekly trash and recycling can be disposed of free of charge at our Transfer Station with proof of residency.

Appliances (large/white goods): free pickup curbside by calling the DPW for an appointment. OR drop off at Transfer Station.

Appliances (w/ Freon): $10 to have picked up curbside, or to drop off at Transfer Station. You must pay by cash at the DPW office for either option.

Auto Batteries: Drop off at Transfer Station.

Books: Drop off at book collection box in the Town Hall parking lot.

Bulky Rigid Plastic: Drop off at Transfer Station at no charge.

Bulky Waste: free pickup curbside by calling the DPW for an appointment. OR drop off at Transfer Station as part of the $20 Dump Pass.

Cardboard:  All flattened cardboard must fit inside of the recycling cart, with the lid closed. Or drop off at Transfer Station at no charge.

Carpeting/Rugs: free pickup curbside by calling the DPW for an appointment; must be rolled and tied, and not longer than 4 feet in length. OR drop off at Transfer Station as part of the $20 Dump Pass.

Christmas Trees: Place live trees curbside on your regular collection day during the month of January, or drop off at Transfer Station. Trees must be free of tinsel, ornaments and lights.

Clothing/Textiles: Drop off at Transfer Station or at the clothing box across the street at the School Administration building, or check the DPW website for a list of permitted collection containers around Town.

Construction & Demolition Debris: Drop off at Transfer Station as part of the $20 Dump Pass.

Cooking Oil: Collected during special events, call DPW for more information.

E-waste: Drop off at Transfer Station. Items accepted include televisions, computer monitors, computers, laptops and tablets ONLY. 
‚ÄčNOTE: This is a state electronic waste collection site, which means any RI resident can recycle the above items here.

Extra Recycling: Drop off at Transfer Station at no charge.

Furniture: free pickup curbside by calling the DPW for an appointment. OR drop off at Transfer Station as part of the $20 Dump Pass.

Leaf & Yard Waste: Place curbside April to December on your regular collection day, or drop off at Transfer Station.

Mattresses & Box Springs: $10 per piece to have picked up curbside, or free to drop off at Transfer Station. Residents must purchase the collection sticker at the DPW office for $10, cash only, and will be given a disposal bag that is required when placing a mattress curbside.

Motor Oil & Filters: Drop off at Transfer Station at no charge.

Paper for Shredding: Free paper shredding at periodic town events, typically held in April, call DPW for updates.

Scrap Metal: free pickup curbside by calling the DPW for an appointment. OR drop off at Transfer Station.

Tires: Effective May 9, 2016 residents may dispose of passenger tires or smaller (no bigger than a truck tire) for $5 each piece at the Transfer Station.
