Landfill:
 3524 Main Road, Tiverton. Hours: Tues., Thurs. and Sat. 7:15am-2:30pm (Closed Mon., Wed., Fri., and during extreme weather conditions such as hurricanes and snow storms). If trash is brought into the Landfill and it is not in designated PAYT bags a fee of $5.00 per bag will apply.

Department of Public Works (DPW): 50 Industrial Way, Tiverton. Hours: Mon.-Fri. 7am to 3:30pm, closed between 12:00-12:30 for lunch.

Appliances (large/white goods): Picked up curbside on a monthly basis, on the third week of the month, call DPW for appointment, pick-up fee of $25 per item. Items that will be picked up include refrigerators, freezers, stoves, washers, dryers.  No fuel tanks, propane tanks, automotive parts, campers, boats, or other large items are accepted whether disposed through the monthly collection or at the landfill. OR drop off at the Landfill, free of charge.

Appliances (w/ Freon): Picked up curbside on a monthly basis, on the third week of the month, call DPW for appointment, pick-up fee of $25 per item and Freon removal fee $12. Items tthat will be picked up include refrigerators, freezers, air conditioners.  No fuel tanks, propane tanks, automotive parts, campers, boats, or other large items are accepted whether disposed through monthly collection or at the landfill. Or drop off at the Landfill for a Freon removal fee of $12.

Books: Drop off at the Landfill entrance into donation boxes, free of charge.  When Landfill gates are locked, you may walk through to put books into the bin which can be seen from the entrance gate.  

Bulky Rigid Plastic: Drop off at the Landfill, free of charge.

Bulky Waste: Picked up curbside on a monthly basis, on the third week of the month, call DPW for appointment, fee of $25 pick-up fee per item. OR drop off at the Landfill  including couches and overstuffed chairs, both for a fee of $20 each. Any item which does not fit in a PAYT bag should be brought to the Landfill and a fee will apply.

Carpeting/Rugs: Rugs which don’t fit in a PAYT bag should be brought to the Landfill and a fee will apply according to size.

Christmas Trees: Picked up curbside during the first 2 full weeks of January on your regular collection day (Pick-up may be delayed during bad weather such as snow storms and hurricanes).

Clothing/Textiles: Drop off at the Landfill entrance into donation boxes, free of charge. When Landfill gates are locked, you may walk through to put clothing into the donation box which can be seen from the entrance gate.  

Construction & Demolition Debris: Drop off at Landfill for a fee: Clean wood - 35Gal. Barrel $5.00, Clean Level 4 x 8 Pick-Up Truck $25.00, Adulterated Wood - 35Gal. Barrel $5.00, Adulterated Wood Level 4 x 8 Pick-Up Truck $60.00.

Furniture: Drop off at the Landfill for a fee of $20 each, including couches and overstuffed chairs.

Leaf & Yard Waste: Drop off at the Landfill, residents are allowed, 6 bags or less is free of charge. $10.00 (1 Ton Pick Up Truck or Less), $25.00 (1 Ton Pick Up Truck or More).

Mattresses & Box Springs: Drop off at the Landfill, free of charge. A fee of $20 applies if the mattress is wet, ripped or soiled badly.

Motor Oil & Filters: Drop off at DPW, free of charge. 

Scrap Metal: Picked up curbside on a monthly basis, on the third week of the month, call DPW for appointment.  Pick-up fee is $25. per item. Items that will be picked up include lawn mowers (drained of fluids), gas grills, bed frames, etc.  No fuel tanks, automotive parts, campers, boats, or other large items are accepted whether disposed through the monthly collection or at the landfill. Or drop off at the Landfill, free of charge.

Tires: Drop off at the Landfill for a fee of $5 each.
