Landfill: 3524 Main Road, Tiverton. Hours: Tues., Thurs. and Sat. 7:15am-2:30pm (Closed Mon., Wed., Fri., and during extreme weather conditions such as hurricanes and snowstorms). If trash is brought into the Landfill and it is not in designated PAYT bags a fee of $5.00 per bag will apply.
Department of Public Works (DPW): 50 Industrial Way, Tiverton. Hours: Mon.-Fri. 7am to 3:30pm, closed between 12:30-1pm for lunch.

Appliances (large/white goods): Drop off at the Landfill, free of charge. Includes stoves, washing machines, dishwashers and dryers.
Appliances (w/ Freon): Drop off at the Landfill for a Freon removal fee of $12. Includes refrigerators, freezers and air conditioners. No fuel tanks, propane tanks, automotive parts, campers, boats, or other large items are accepted.
Books and Media: Drop off at the Landfill entrance into the Discover Books bin, including books and commercially recorded media such as CDs, DVDs, records and books on CD. free of charge. When the Landfill gates are locked, you may walk through to put books/media into the bin which can be seen from the entrance gate.
Bulky Rigid Plastic: Drop off at the Landfill, free of charge.
Bulky Waste: Drop off at the Landfill. Includes couches and overstuffed chairs, both for a fee of $20 each. Any item which does not fit in a PAYT bag should be brought to the Landfill and a fee will apply.
Carpeting/Rugs: Rugs which don’t fit in a PAYT bag should be brought to the Landfill and a fee will apply according to size.
Clothing/Textiles: Drop off at the Landfill entrance into donation boxes, free of charge. When the Landfill gates are locked, you may walk through to put clothing into the donation box which can be seen from the entrance gate.
E-waste: Drop off at the Landfill, free of charge. Includes computers, laptops, monitors, televisions (no broken screen televisions), routers, cell phones, mice, keyboards, printers, toner cartridges, CD / DVD players, radios, cameras, stereos, speakers, telephones, microwaves and small household appliances. No light bulbs, single use batteries, plastic tapes/disks, glass plates or bowls, broken tv tubes, smoke detectors, or hazardous materials.
Furniture: Drop off at the Landfill for a fee of $20 each, including couches and overstuffed chairs.
Leaf & Yard Waste: Picked up curbside during the following dates in 2021: 4/22, 4/29, 5/13, 6/3, 8/12, 9/16, 10/21, 11/4, 11/18. All leaf and yard waste must be in brown biodegradable yard waste bags. Limit of 6 bags per each Thursday pickup. If the Town cannot finish all pickups on Thursday, pickup will resume on Friday or the following Monday. Please make sure you leave your yard waste out by 7:00 AM. OR Drop off at the Landfill, residents are allowed, 6 bags or less is free of charge. $10.00 (1 Ton Pick Up Truck or Less), $25.00 (1 Ton Pick Up Truck or More).
Mattresses & Box Springs: Drop off at the Landfill, free of charge. A fee of $20 applies if the mattress is wet, ripped or soiled badly.
Motor Oil & Filters: Drop off at DPW, free of charge.
Scrap Metal: Drop off at the Landfill, free of charge. No fuel tanks, automotive parts, campers, boats, or other large items.
Small Appliances (no Freon): Typically electric items with a cord, can be dropped off with e-waste.
Tires: Drop off at the Landfill for a fee of $5 each.
