Recycle in Your Bin or Cart: 
Plastic flower pots that are 5 gallons in size or smaller can be recycled in your bin or cart. Metal handles are ok.

Do NOT recycle black plastic flower pot liners / plug trays in your bin or cart at home. Do NOT recycle terra cotta pots, ceramic pots, or pots larger than 5 gallons in size.

Keep out of Landfill via Special Program:
Plastic flower pots that are 5 gallons in size or larger can be dropped-off for recycling only through a special rigid plastics program. If your city or town is listed below, click on its name to see the local bulky rigid plastic instructions for its residents. Statewide options that are open to anyone are also listed below. Trash: 
If none of the above is an option, please dispose of this item in your regular trash. Cities and towns with automated trash collection carts require all trash to fit inside the cart. Cities and towns that empty trash by hand (using your own barrels) may have special instructions for items too large to fit in trash bags. Search for "bulky waste" to find your local disposal instructions.
