Transfer Station: 21 Birch Swamp Road, Warren. Hours: Mon. – Fri., 7:30am- 11:45am and 12:30pm-3:30 pm; Sat. 8am-12pm. Closed on Saturdays in February. Phone: 401-245-3910, or visit the Transfer Station website.

$20.00 for each residential sticker, which allows residents to dispose of 400 pounds of trash annually, from July to July. The 400 lbs. allowed does not include other materials that are accepted for recycling at the transfer station. Once the 400 lb. limit is exceeded, commercial rates will apply to all. All vehicles entering the facility must stop on the scale until the clerk signals them to proceed. All vehicles then stop at the office for inspection of the load. Any persons dumping material in areas other than the designated areas will lose the right to use the facility.

Antifreeze: Drop off at the Transfer Station.

Appliances (large/white goods): Free weekly pickup curbside by calling the DPW for an appointment. OR drop off at the Transfer Station, free of charge (not included in 400 lb limit).

Appliances (w/ Freon): $35 to have picked up curbside (call DPW for appointment), OR drop off at the Transfer Station for a fee of $25.

Books: Drop off at the Transfer Station.

Bulky Waste: Drop off at the Transfer Station included in the $20 resident pass, up to 400 lbs.

Cardboard: Drop off at the Transfer Station.

Carpeting/Rugs: If it fits, picked up curbside in your trash cart. All trash must fit in your trash cart. Or, drop off at the Transfer Station included in the $20 resident pass, up to 400 lbs.

Christmas Trees: Place curbside on your regular collection day during the first three weeks of January, or drop off at the Transfer Station.

Clothing/Textiles: Drop off at the clothing donation boxes: St Thomas Church & the intersection of Vernon St. & Metacom Ave.

Construction & Demolition Debris: Drop off at the Transfer Station, included in the $20 pass, up to 400 lbs. Commercial rate is $300.00/ton.

E-waste: Drop off at the Transfer Station including computers, televisions, monitors, laptops, printers, scanners, spare computer parts, cables and wires, radios, routers, cell phones and telephones. 

Extra Recycling: Drop off at the Transfer Station.

Furniture: If it fits, picked up curbside in you trash cart. All trash must fit in your trash cart. Or, drop off at the Transfer Station included in the $20 resident pass, up to 400 lbs.

Ink Cartridges: Drop off at the Transfer Station to be recycled.

Leaf & Yard Waste: Picked up curbside on the same day as your scheduled trash pickup from April 1-December 1. Includes leaves, grass clippings, hedge trimmings, tree trimmings less than 1" diameter. All materials must be placed in paper bags; bags are available at the DPW Office for $15.00 for 25 bags. OR Drop off at the Transfer StationBRUSH: picked up curbside by twice-monthly appointment by calling 245-0200. Includes tree trimmings larger than 1" in diameter. No lot clearing. Cuts ends must face street.

Mattresses & Box Springs: $20 to have picked up curbside (and must obtain Ticket & bag from the DPW Office). Or to drop off at the Transfer Station, free of charge.

Motor Oil & Filters: Drop off at the Transfer Station, free of charge (not included in 400 lb limit).

Propane Tanks: Drop off at the Transfer Station, free of charge (not included in 400 lb limit).

Scrap Metal: Drop off at the Transfer Station, free of charge (not included in 400 lb limit).
