Appliances (large/white goods): Free curbside pickup on Fridays, must make an appointment by calling DPW or submitting the Large Item Trash Pickup form. Includes washers, dryers, exercise equipment, stoves, space heaters, dish washers and hot water heaters.

Appliances (w/ Freon): $15 per item for pickup curbside on Fridays, must make an appointment by calling DPW or submitting the Large Item Trash Pickup form. Includes refrigerators and air conditioners.

Auto Batteries: Drop off at DPW.

Books: Drop off at donation boxes around the city.

Bulky Waste: Not accepted.

Cardboard: If flattened cardboard doesn't fit inside of the recycling cart, place it between your recycling and trash carts.

Carpeting/Rugs: Picked up curbside in your trash cart - must be cut in half and four feet in length, tied and bundled.

Christmas Trees: Picked up on scheduled dates only in January.

Clothing/Textiles: Drop off at any donation boxes in the city located at businesses. 

Cooking Oil: Drop off at DPW.

Furniture: Not accepted.

Leaf & Yard Waste: Picked up curbside on Fridays, April through December.

If there is a holiday during week, pick up will be on Saturday. If yard waste is put out any other day, you may be subject to a fine.

It should be put out on Thursday night (after 5pm) in brown paper leaf bags. Bags should not contain rocks and dirt, and should weigh less than 25lbs. YARD WASTE PUT OUT BEFORE 5PM ON THURSDAY EVENINGS WILL BE TICKETED. In order to help cut costs, we recommend that residents implement compost programs for their yard waste. 

Mattresses & Box Springs: $15 per item for pickup curbside on Fridays, must make an appointment by submitting the Large Item Trash Pickup form.My hunch is that the material was still wet from last week’s storm.

Motor Oil: Drop off at DPW.

Tires: $8 per item for pickup curbside on Fridays, must make an appointment by submitting the Large Item Trash Pickup form.
