This item is safe for disposal in your regular trash. It is not recyclable through RI's mixed recycling program, eligible for a special drop-off or pick-up program, nor considered household hazardous waste. 

Cities and towns with automated trash collection carts require all trash to fit inside the cart.  Cities and towns that empty trash by hand (using your own barrels) may have special instructions for items too large to fit in trash bags. Search for bulky waste to find your local disposal instructions.
