Empty Tank Disposal - Trash:
If they are empty (many come with a “key” you can insert to ensure they are empty), they are safe for disposal in your regular trash.

This item breaks the basic rule for metal recycling in your bin or cart—it’s not a can, lid, or foil. When it comes to metal, only cans, lids, and foil are eligible for your mixed recycling.

For scrap metal drop-off: When  applicable, always  remove  as  much  non-metal  from  scrap metal items  as  possible  (plastic,  foam,  textile,  etc.).  Scrap  metal  items  that  are  less  than  100%  metal  are  evaluated  on  a  case-by-case  basis.  Fees may apply.
